    Just watched:

    Super

Rainn Wilson can act, let me make that point first. We’ve all seen him in the silly role of Dwight Schrute in The Office to the god awful cameo in Transformers 2. The versatility he showed in Super was immense. The subtext he was able to transfer was quite good. The look in his eyes the whole film… powerful stuff. Super is pretty comparable to Kick-Ass in a way, similar story… but Super is a lot darker. There were times when I was stunned as to what was happening, in a good way. James Gunn, the director did a fine job. The script had me laughing out loud numerous times. The special effects were very good too for a film that only had about a 3 million budget. Ellen Page was nice in her supporting role…. she looked very fine in that skin tight costume. The last action scene is very good and choreographed very well. I am a fan of the ending as well. One of the most unique films of 2011.
