This is from a book recounting the famous Scopes trial from the 1920’s…. Walter White was even cooking meth back then.

Imagine if Walt just listened to Jesse and never did any deals outside of Taco Cabeza? Seasons 2-5 would just be Walt playing with Holly while Walt Jr. eats breakfast. Skyler would still be fat though.

An interesting note about this final scene/screenshot. Walt is wearing a green shirt. The same green shirt that he wore in the pilot episode of the series. This provides a sense of closure. They must have wrote this in preparations of a possible 5th season not occuring. But there is also another interesting thing about it. Many times in many films the color green is used to represent knowledge. They’re shaking hands and Walt’s green shirt is symbolic in the fact that he knows the truth about Brock’s poisoning. He did it. Jesse is completely oblivious to this. Walt has always been the wisdom/knowledge of this show. Ultimately though these same principles might lead to his demise.

Season 4 is off the rails, in the best way possible. Better Call Saul.
